As you all know, I highly recommend the RC approach to curriculum and homeschooling in general. Independent learning and self-study is the focus and primary goal for students working this method, which not only prevents parental burnout, but helps the child develop essential learning skills. Children are expected to work on their own. The core is a 3 Rs approach - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic (Mathematics). A high-quality reading list is part of the curriculum, most of which work okay for the HI student. In the video below, although produced some time ago is still very poignant, Dr. Robinson gives a talk about his approach and the rationale behind it. It is very informative and runs over 1 1/2hrs.
