When I first started homeschooling my children, the curriculum I used (and still do use from time to time) was Alpha Omega Lifepacs. The system is easy to implement and manage. This curriculum does have a Christian base, however I have found that it is adaptable for my purposes. I am not messianic, but I still can use it because for the most part the focus is on the One God. Those who are messianic certainly would likely find it to be adaptable as well.
It is a series of worktexts for every subject from Bible (which I don't use) to Science, Language Arts, Biology and History. They are economical (about $5 per Lifepac) and you can see a sample of each one online. Alpha Omega Lifepacs are very popular among homeschooling families. Many of you who have contacted me and are new to home education, I have recommended this curriculum. I think it is a good starting point for your first year or two, especially if you are not yet comfortable with designing your own curriculum. Please be advised that I do not recommend use of the Alpha Omega Lifepacs for Mathematics. It is a bit mediocre in quality, on par with the average public school texts. For math you might want to try using Saxon Math, Singapore Math, Ray's Arithmetic or Math-U-See. These come highly recommended by many homeschooling families.
