"Only a fool would let his enemy educate his children." - Malcolm X
As appalling as this news is, should we be surprised about these stats? America has a problem educating its citizens. This nation in general, is behind academically on a worldwide scale, and be sure that these scores are not a reflection of our children's lack of intelligence or learning ability. Not one of them passed. Not one Black child. Not one Hispanic child. Even if we give them credit and say that whoever reported this information only got it half right; it's still an unacceptable outcome. Learning is not happening in these so-called "schools." Its just not a priority there.
My question is, when are we as a nation finally going to wake up and get it? Why do we continue to entrust our children to this madness? The solution: teach your own.
Then I read another news article on the same website, "Black Children Should Be Homeschooled; Here's Why." A good article with valid points, I thought. Then I read the comments, and this is what I found to be most troubling: rampant excuses and hand-wringing about dedicating to teaching our own children. Really? This is a no-brainer! You had people saying, I'm a single parent and such and so, who's going to teach them? I have to work. We don't have enough education for that. You had people saying that taking your child out of school because of racism is stupid and that we should not isolate our kids, and so on. Just utter nonsense. They're not learning people!
Let's get real. We don't send our children to school to make friends and to play. We don't send our children to school for babysitting and childcare, so that we can work, run errands and what have you. We send them there to learn. We send them there to get an education, period. We must understand that, if our children are not learning and we permit that; it's our fault. We cannot blame anyone for that. It is our responsibility as parents to see to it that our sons and daughters are taught and are in fact learning what they need to learn. To do otherwise is called neglect. We must do what it takes to make that happen. Hebrew Israelite children must also be taught the ways of the Most High and what is expected of them:
“Hear O’ Yisrael, YHWH is our Elohim, YHWH is one! And you shall love your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart, and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deut 6:4-7)
Our children are to be taught who they are and about their history as a people, as a nation. If they are being taught lies about that and exposed to anything contrary to the truth and righteousness of Yah, we have to remove them from that environment and teach them ourselves.

New York City public schools are having a hard time living up to the state standards. A new study showed that not a single black student had passed the math and reading exams that are required by the state. Not a single Hispanic student was found to have been able to pass the tests either. This new revelation shows yet again that there is a tremendous gap with the different races and the education that they receive.
